1. Open the Registry Editor by clicking on
Start > Run and entering regedit.

2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_
USER\Software\Yahoo\pager\Test

3. Right click on any blank space in the
right column and choose New Dword
Value.

4. Call it “Plural”.

5. Double-click and assign a decimal value
of 1.

Now close the Registry editor and restart
Yahoo! Messenger, and you’ll have
multiple logins. (This does not work with
version 9, though)

You no longer use a floppy drive these days, so there’s no reason for it to be displayed in My Computer. Open the Registry Editor and go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
If this key does not exist, create it. The modify or create a 32-bit DWORD namedNoDrives.
Assign it a value of 1.

Do you know Yahoo! messenger has built-in support for multiple login but its hidden and is not enabled?

By default you can only use a single Yahoo! ID to log into Yahoo! messenger and if you try to run another instance of messenger, it’ll not run.

But here I’ll tell you a very simple and small trick to enable multi-login feature in Yahoo! messenger and you’ll be able to run multiple instances of Yahoo! messenger and log into separate Yahoo! accounts without any problem and without using any 3rd party utility.

Following is a screenshot of running 2 instances of Yahoo! messenger with 2 different yahoo! accounts:

So here is a step-by-step tutorial to enable Multi-login feature in Yahoo! messenger:

1. Open regedit and goto:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\yahoo\pager\Test

2. In right-side pane, create a new DWORD value Plural and set its value to 1

3. That’s it. Close registry editor and now you can start multiple instances of Yahoo! messenger and log into multiple Yahoo! account in a single system.

PS: If you don’t want to do the task manually and want a ready-made registry script, then download following ZIP file, extract it and then run the extracted REG file. It’ll ask for confirmation, accept it and you have done:

Yahoo Messenger Multi Login

There is a hidden feature in Yahoo! messenger which allows to have Tabs in Yahoo! conversation/Chat windows just like a web browser tabs. You can chat with several friends in a single window using tabs.

As you can see in the above screenshot, a single Yahoo! chat window is running having 5 tabs opened. You can click on a tab and starting chatting with that buddy.

So without wasting any more time, lets start our simple and easy tutorial:

1. Open regedit and goto:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\yahoo\pager\

2. In right-side pane, create/modify DWORD value Tabbed IM and set its value to 1

3. That’s it. Close registry editor and start Yahoo! messenger. Now you can chat with all buddies in a single chat window.

4. If you want to remove tab feature, then simply delete the DWORD value Tabbed IM or set its value to 0

Internet Explorer 7 doesn’t allow you to download more than 2 files at a time. In case if you want to download more than two files at a time then here’s a way:

1. Go to Start and select Run and then type regedit and press Enter.
2. Now you’ll be in the registry editor, navigate to the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\internet Settings

3. Right click in the empty space, and create a new DWord (32-bit) value by choosing
New > DWord Value . Name it as follows:
MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server
(Note: The 0 beside server is a zero)
4. Double click this entry and modify the value to 3.
(Substitute 3 for the preferred maximum number of downloads)
5. Create another DWord:
MaxConnectionsPerServer
6. Once again, double click this entry and modify the value to 3.
Now restart your browser. You’ll be able to download more than two files.
